Inkster city officials make no motion on data center after emotional meeting with residents

A massive 40,000 square foot data center was being proposed in Inkster, leading to many residents opposing it. However, city officials have shot it down after an emotional meeting Monday night. Massive Inkster meeting Monday night. When FOX 2 first arrived at the meeting at 6 p.m., the parking lot was empty. However, it quickly filled as hundreds are now expected to attend the meeting who were up in arms and made their voices heard. The proposed building was located on Southern Street near Inkster Road and Michigan Avenue. Klever Technology said they hoped to transform the vacant 40,000 square foot building into a $75 million data center. No one on the city council made a motion, so the data center proposal is dead.[1]
