Google data center site plan heads to Van Buren Township vote

WDET reporting carried by WGVU says Van Buren Township officials are scheduled to vote during the week of October 12 on the final site plan for Google’s proposed data center. Residents have raised environmental and utility-cost concerns. Township Supervisor Kevin McNamara says the project meets local zoning requirements and describes negotiated provisions addressing water-rate increases, wildlife corridors and noise. These are attributed statements ahead of a vote, not confirmation of final site-plan approval.[1]
