Inkster residents pack city hall to oppose data center — council declines to approve it
WDIV reports that no Inkster council member moved to approve a special land use permit for a proposed data center in a vacant 40,000-square-foot warehouse on Southern Street, despite a planning commission recommendation for conditional approval. Residents raised environmental, noise and light-pollution concerns at the crowded meeting. Developer Robert Kato of Klever Technology Center LLC told the station he did not plan to appeal or pursue the project at that location. The report describes a lack of council action, not a recorded vote rejecting the permit.[1]
