Dingell Receives Response from EGLE Regarding Los Alamos, Prompts Further Questions for EPA
Rep. Debbie Dingell’s office released EGLE’s response to her inquiry about the Textile Road site proposed for the University of Michigan–Los Alamos research computing center in Ypsilanti Township. The October 20 press release includes a follow-up letter asking EPA about cleanup responsibilities, groundwater monitoring, recorded land-use restrictions and the final work plan. Her office said EPA had not yet responded to her earlier inquiry. These are requests for information, not findings that the proposed project has received environmental clearance or violated environmental rules.[1]
